This privacy policy explains why and when International Sports Consulting Limited (“ISC”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects Personal Data (as defined below) about you, in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (“UK GDPR“), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679) (“EU GDPR”), as applicable (together the “Data Protection Laws”): how we use it, the conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.

For the purposes of the Data Protection Laws, ISC is the controller of your Personal Data. “Personal Data” means information about individuals (including you) from which individuals could be identified, either independently or in combination with other information.

Who We Are

ISC (company number 6903449 ) is a sports management company that primarily manages elite sportsmen and sportswomen and also works with brands and rights holders within the sports world.

We aim to provide the highest quality of client care to the clients that we represent. To do this, we must process Personal Data about you, as well as that relating to the services we have provided or plan to provide you.

If you are providing information or Personal Data about another person, we expect you to ensure that they know you are doing so and that they are content with such information or Personal Data being provided to us. They should also be provided with a copy of this Privacy Policy. Unless we are told otherwise, we shall assume that you will provide a copy of this Privacy Policy to any other person in respect of whom you provide any information or Personal Data.

Personal Data you provide when you become a client of ISC

When you become a client of ISC, we will collect a range of Personal Data relating to you, alongside other information relevant to the provision of our client management services. This Personal Data includes your name, address, telephone number(s), personal email address, CV (including previous clubs), employment contract (including salary, previous salary and employment terms and conditions), date of birth, emergency contact information, bank account details, national insurance number, passport details, ID cards and/ or visas, performance feedback (including that received from third parties), health information (such as general notes pertaining to prior physicals or injuries), insurance details and information on family relocation.

We will store this Personal Data for the purposes of:

  • communicating with you;

  • supporting and managing our relationship with you including by verifying your identity; obtaining insurance on your behalf; obtaining financial advice on your behalf; obtaining legal advice on your behalf; obtaining professional advice on your behalf; enabling your appointed professional advisers, banks, financial advisers and insurance companies to communicate with you;

  • complying with any legal or regulatory requirements on your behalf;

  • enabling any team by whom you are employed or any brand by whom you are sponsored to liaise with you or verify details about you, and

  • managing our clients records.

  • Your Personal Data may be shared with various third parties with whom we interact in order to provide our services. These include:

  • your employer;

  • any brand by whom you are sponsored;

  • our professional advisers (i.e. lawyers, accountants and financial advisers);

  • your appointed professional advisers (i.e. lawyers, accountants and financial advisers);

  • regulatory bodies (such as The Football Association, Premier League, Football League, UEFA, FIFA and RFU);

  • HM Land Registry;

  • HM Revenue & Customs;

  • Courts or Tribunals;

  • Banks, Building Societies and insurance companies, and

  • credit reference agencies.

If and when we share any information or Personal Data about you, we will use our reasonable endeavours to ensure that any third parties to whom any information or Personal Data is shared shall comply, confidentially, with our instructions and shall not use your information for any purpose other than providing services that you have requested or for liaising with you, unless you have explicitly consented to them doing so.

In accordance with the Data Protections Laws, our legal basis for processing Personal Data about you is that such processing is necessary:

  • for the purpose of performing a contract to which you are a party;

  • for the purpose of satisfying any legal obligation to which we are subject; and/ or

  • for the purpose of our legitimate interest in operating ISC business and carrying out our client management services.

Sensitive Personal Data (i.e. Personal data relating to your health) are processed solely in accordance with applicable Data Protection Laws and when you have provided your explicit consent

In accordance with the Data Protections Laws, our legal basis for processing Personal Data about you is that such processing is necessary for the purpose of our legitimate interest in operating ISC and undertaking the recruitment of new clients. This Personal Data may be shared internally between ISC and with our various partner companies

Personal Data of sports club, right holder or brand contacts

If you are a contact of ISC who works for a sports club or brand with whom we do business, we may store Personal Data relating to you including your contact details.

We will use this Personal Data for the purposes of:

  • communicating with you, and

  • managing our internal database of business contacts.

In accordance with the Data Protections Laws, our legal basis for processing Personal Data about you is that such processing is necessary for the purpose of our legitimate interest in operating ISC and undertaking the recruitment of new clients.

Cookies

This website utilises cookies. Cookies are widely used to make websites work, or to improve their efficiency, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site about the visitors to the website.

Retention of Personal Data

We will hold your Personal Data on our systems for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes that we collected it for, as explained in this Privacy Policy, and for the purposes of satisfying any legal requirements to which we are subject. Where there are no such requirements, we will hold your personal information in a form which identifies you for as long as appears appropriate based on the amount, nature and sensitivity of the personal information and the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal information.

Your Personal Data may be transferred and stored in countries outside the EU in countries including, but without limitation, the United States of America. We will take appropriate steps to try to ensure that transfer of Personal Data is in accordance with applicable law and carefully managed to protect your privacy rights and interests.

What Are Your Rights In Relation to Personal Data We Hold About You?

Under UK and EU GDPR you are entitled to access your Personal Data that we hold about you, otherwise known as a “right to access”. If you wish to make such a request, please do so in writing to our registered office address (as set out below).

A request for access to your Personal Data means you are entitled to a copy of the Personal Data that we hold about you, such as your name, address, contact details, date of birth or information regarding your health, but it does not mean that you are entitled to the documents that contain such Personal Data. Under certain circumstances, in addition to the entitlement to access your Personal Data, you may have the following rights:

  • The right to be informed as to how we use your Personal Data: this is fulfilled by way of this Privacy Policy.

  • The right to rectification: you are entitled to have Personal Data rectified if it is inaccurate or incomplete.

  • The right to erasure/deletion: you have the right to request the deletion or removal of your Personal Data where there is no compelling reason for its continued processing. This right only applies in the following specific circumstances:

    • where the Personal Data is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was originally collected; or

    • where your consent is withdrawn; or

    • where you object to the processing and there is no overriding legitimate interest for continuing processing; or

    • where the Personal Data was unlawfully processed.

  • The right to object: you have the right to object to us processing your Personal Data based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing purposes. If you have an objection relating to your particular situation, we have to stop processing your Personal Data unless we can demonstrate compelling reasons which override your interests, rights and freedoms. However, your objection will not be upheld if we are processing the information for the establishment or exercise of the defence of legal claims.

  • The right to restrict processing: when the processing is restricted, we can store the Personal Data but not use it. However, this right can only be exercised in the following specific circumstances:

    • where you contest the accuracy of the Personal Data, we shall restrict the processing of the Personal Data until its accuracy has been verified or while we consider if our legitimate grounds override your own right/s; or

    • where the processing of Personal Data is unlawful, and you request restriction on the processing of the Personal Data; or

    • where we no longer need the Personal Data, but you require it establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.

Complaints About Our Use Of Personal Data
