A quick, strong, technical, tough- tackling Nigerian international defender with extensive first team experience in Spain, Turkey and England.

Omeruo first moved to Europe with Standard Liege before moving to Chelsea in 2012. He had loan spells with ADO Den Haag, Middlesbrough and Kasimpasa before moving to Leganes in the Spanish top flight.

He quickly established himself as a defensive leader and key player with the Spanish club, where he played up until 2023 when he completed a move to Turkish top flight club Kasimpasa.

Kenneth played for Nigeria at U17 and U20 level before making his full national team debut in 2013. He has captained the national team, played at the 2014 and 2018 World Cups and appeared in the African Cup of Nations 4 times.

Champion of Africa

In 2013 Omeruo was a key starter for Nigeria as they won their third African Cup of Nations crown.

The super-eagles finished second in their group but beat a strong Ivory Coast side 2-1 in the quarterfinal and then demolished Mali 4-1 in the semis. In the final they controlled the game against Burkina Faso to lift the trophy in South Africa.
